Buttermilk Without Buttermilk!
Well, I blame my mum for this but I’m a stickler for not wasting things! She drilled it into us from when we were little that come what may if it went on our plate we were eating it – come hell or high water! I’ve taken up the mantle now and I’m the same with my kids!
I’m not sure if they’ve worked out the ways we tricked our mum sometimes, by wrapping up what we didn’t want in tissue and stuffing it down the bin as far as we could lol! But despite that, she still taught us a lesson, that I haven’t forgotten.
It’s the reason why every time I had to bake goodies that required buttermilk and the contents weren’t finished and couldn’t be used for anything else it would really irk me to have to chuck it away!! There has to be a solution!! So I sought out a solution and I’m about to share it with you!
